We’re Kristof Farms. We produce wine grapes and cider apples that end up being eaten by bears and deer. What’s left we turn into fantastic wines and hard ciders.

We’re biased but we think this is the Most Beautiful Farm in the World. It’s nestled right where the Willamette Valley merges into the Oregon coast range, outside the town of Yamhill. The farm has been in the Kristof family for more than half a century, and in 2018 we decided to convert our 25-acre cherry orchard to wine grapes and cider apples. We saw the need for more economic dynamism in our community, and we hoped to do our part to create jobs and economic opportunity — plus make great wine and cider that can bring people together and give them joy.

We understand the convening power of a column, a book, “a loaf of bread, a jug of wine and thou” — and, we hope, of a Substack newsletter.

Welcome!
