I enjoyed reading this. How wonderful to live so close to nature even if it's a bit scary (the bears!). Now, about the elks... funny coincidence I just had my first elk burger in my life this past weekend and it was delish.😉

We'd definitely come from Rhode Island to help you celebrate your beautiful new creative adventure, but we are off to Menorca for bike touring that week. Next time! We haven't been to Oregon yet, but we hear it's gorgeous!

We're a little further north and the deer aren't any smarter. I hadn't thought of getting a really big cat to keep them away from the raspberries, apples and flowers!

So wonderful to read about an area that I visited, both in childhood with my family, and in adult years. We would go up to an aunt and uncle’s farm, Spring Glade Acres, on Ford Rd.,Mount Richmond. We gathered for holidays and in later years for reunions.
