Oregon has missed out on an opportunity that likely won't come again.

Dear Mr. Kristof -

When you were a columnist for the NY Times, your writing was compelling. Your writing now is as compelling, but seems to have added a touch of caring and humanity. It may be that I'm reflecting what I want to see, given that I do want you as Oregon's governor, but your columns on the Ukraine provide a different view - one that reflects not only the grim facts, but also hopes and ideals of a people under seige. And this approach is comforting when reading about Russian oppression and Ukrainian resistance. Thank you for your insight.

The Russian-Ukrainian war exemplifies, yet again, machismo at its finest. Thank you, N.K., for reminding us that "alongside the worst of humanity, you find the best."

These videos make me wonder if Americans would have the same intestinal fortitude. Certainly some would but I somehow believe many Americans are cowards at heart, especially one past president.

Dear Nic, this is the kind of reporting you are so good at, and why I've read you over many years. Keep it up.

Thank you for sharing your experience. What’s happening is horrific.

I was a fan of Nick Kristof for many years for his honest and thought provoking writing for the New York Times. Then my husband and I were lucky enough to meet him and spend some time with him during a trip in Sydney and beyond.

Thank you Nick for keep all of us informed with what is going on in world, whether it’s Oregon, Myanmar or Ukraine. We trust your words.

My heart just breaks at the inhumanity of this and how one man can cause so much damage and horror in so many people's lives.

I am a true fan of your writing, sensibility and your heart. Thank you for continuing to write and for making it accessible. No question that you would have been stellar as Oregon's next governor, yet the disappointing outcome also provides the gift of your continued focus and interpretation on actual events - no matter their location in the world - which will reach far beyond just Oregon, and I am so grateful that you continue to write the important articles with magnificent humanity on things that I care very much about. The subtitle, "Side by side with the worst of humanity, you find the best!" Your writing embodies reality coexisting with hope, and inspire me continuously. Thank you.

Now would be a very good time to start asking what will be done against the HUMAN TRAFFICKING MAFIA who will be coming for the Ukrainian war refugees as they enter Poland and the Carpathian nations.
